Short of "Kirk or Picard?" I'm having difficulty thinking up a geekier question than this one...

This topic should need a poll.

I can't choose between Star Trek and Star Wars.

P.S Kirk should have died in a light saber duel against Darth Vader.

I have TNG on VHS. Season one i think. It begins with "Encounter at Farpoint" and ends with "The Neutral Zone". The former one was the only one I actually watched. Oh, and it's 13 cassettes.

I found Encounter at Farpoint to be such a bad piece of television that I did not watch the rest of the first season of TNG. The less said about Wesley Crusher, the better. Everyone I know was glad to see him forced to repeat his first year at the academy, after getting an indelible stain on his career.

A real problem with TNG is that safety systems existed only as literary devices to heighten tension. The number of times the emergency warp core ejection system failed equals the number of times a warp core breach threatened to destroy a vessel. The USS Enterprise was peculiar among starfleet vessels, as every other ship that had a failure of the warpcore ejection system was destroyed.

Hmmm I like both Star Trek and Star Wars, so it's hard to say.

I also like the 3 prequel Star Wars episodes... I must be less fussy than you lot :P
