I don't suppose you know where else to get the manual? I can't open pdf files (don't know why) and I'm stuck when I try to leave the city ....

You can download Acrobat Reader for free at http://www.adobe.nl/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

This will allow you to read pdf's, and there's no time limit to the program's use or something.

Incorrect sound settings or sound drivers is probably the #1 issue when it comes to playing these classic DOS games. In 1995-1997 I worked tech support and game testing for a large gaming company in Austin. The first thing we would do is attempt the no sound option in the game to see if the problem goes away.

If you ever have lockup issues in games run setup and try no sound.

BTW - great site! I've found many classics that I've added back to my library because many of my old floppies are no longer good.

Cool

Awesome find!! I picked up MMIV, V, VI and VII in a compilation pack years ago and, without question, World of Xeen is hands down the better experience. I can't express how much fun anyone who downloads this will have, especially once they take their team over to the Dark Side of Xeen... beware of Barkman!! :Titan:

I'm not a rpg fan, but if this game is as bright, huge and colourful as it looks then no doubt I'll be enjoying myself for a long time

Great game, thanks for uploading. k:

I'm using XP, but the game runs fine as long as i turn the speech off and set music&effects to soundblaster pro. However, if i buy a drink in the tavern and then press "tips", the game freezes. Only issue so far.
