Not too bad, I've seen much worse in bookshops!

I like the image and the way its red contour continues at the back.

I personally would not have used the outer glow blending effect like this though, blur effects on typography is usually concidered 'not done' (for book covers and posters and stuff anyway). It's fine in the light area, but in the dark area it's a bit too obvious. Try tweeking with it some more, and\or maybe using a lighter text or background color instead. Or not, it's nice already

I agree about the outer glow... but I was in a hurry... and I was needing legibility and quikly!
