Hopefully someone on here will remember this game. It came out in the late 80's or maybe 90 or 91. I'm pretty sure it was from EA. It was a Space RPG where you created a group of military characters that had to do "something" in this star system. You would have space battles and you could land on the different planets at different grid sectors to go exploring in this tracked vehicle. There was also an ice planet near the end with an abandoned research station you had to explore. You went down several levels and started fighting these dragons. These music was also pretty cool for the time.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

The last time I played it was 91 so I do not remember much, but, is it perhaps Hard Nova?

Question Sentinel Worlds I - Future Magic

Hi guys,

I have just found all these old games I used to play back in the day and I can remember playing a really great game that I'd love to find again.

I can't remember who made it, but here are the details:

- It was sci-fi based, you got to fly a spaceship around for some of the game (top-down)
- You also had to go explore places, and this was as a top-down party of people , there may also have been some third-party kind of interaction...?
- You had to fight and collected weapons and stuff
- I remember one area I went in to and it was an ice station and there were tigers running around
- It was kind of RPG, kind of adventure

If anyone could help me find the name of the game that'd be awesome, thanks.

- Josh

Sounds a little like Albion, perhaps? Or Yoda Stories?

Sentinel Worlds - awesome game, few games were made quite like it. And it's completely playable today without the need for dosbox or a slowdown program, because you can set the game's frames per second speed in the Options.

Default Sentinel Worlds I: Future Magic

I've been staring at the box for this old (1988) Electronic Arts title for quite a while now. Since I qualify as a novice-at-best user, I've so far been unable to manipulate DosBox into running this game properly. I'd be more than happy to upload this game to Abandonia since it shows up on the oldwarez list as abandonware, but is as far as I can tell is still unavailable.

Sentinel Worlds I was an early Sci-Fi RPG. It featured open gameplay as well as a pretty decent storyline. Thanks to my ADD, and the fact that I purchased this game at the same time as a small handfull of other titles, I can't tell you much more than that about this particular title. I do remember that I throughly enjoyed the gameplay that I did partake of, and would love to give it another go if someone can dumb down the dosbox configuration for me.

Looks interesting. If you want to upload, you could write a review and take some screenshots aswell

But let's just wait for an admin to approve it.
