Well the question is - which do you prefer?
British (that would be Monty Python)
or
American (that would be South Park)

Or are you saying you like both??? (you could have just used that word - both :bleh: )

@Troop - there you're completely wrong... American news isn't really news at all.
CNN international is the best American NEWS chanell, but it's still far behind Sky News or BBC News (only in comarison to British TV) - and British News Chanells aren't the best in the world either (but they are more the decent k: ).

British TV... The Americans have absolutely awful versions of The Office and also Red Dwarf. Bleh...

Also, I'm a bit jaded of The Simpsons now and all of their good series have been discontinued. Even Futurama sadly.

We also have better serious programs and novelty stuff. Our people are usually (in general) more amusing and our hosts are not mindless idiots.

If you're wondering, our humour is based mostly on anticlimaxes, that's why it's quite funny. Your humour is based (sometimes) on taking the piss out of people, which is nowhere near as funny and is indeed hurtful.

Plus your sitcoms are tedious and canned laughter is rife in such programs as Friends. We had a fling with it in the 60's and 70's but then we learned the error of our ways. Sadly you did not.

"Hey Chandler, I walked into a lamp-post" (Laughter)
"Well that's because you're an idiot, Joey!" (Laughter)

This is probably a dialogue in it somewhere. It's not big or clever.

*edits* For news you really want Euronews, that's the best imo.

@Sebatianos: "Say no more" is a quote from Monty Python, though. Nudge nudge, wink wink.

Edit: and when did ryx change his name?

Family Guy and Futurama are the only two cartoons of quality in there and much as I like them I believe that they will both never have another episode. Shame really.

Japanese cartoons were always better (although not as funny) due to the complex characters in them. that's just my opinion though.
