Variety is good.
If you're IE is corrupt and you don't have an alternative browser
you most likely have no way of viewing a page unless Windows Explorer works.

Yepp... had a hard time to get used to it when i switched from NS/IE to OP.

I like Opera thou... has many features i use; Easy proxy-manigement is the biggest i think, and the ability to save passwords in a good way with a easy command to use them

ive used mozilla for years! ie and outlook express is just too full of security holes.
now i use firefox and thunderbird for mail. i sleep a lot better!

if you dont have a firewall program, i recommend getting one.. ive used agnitum outpost firewall for a long long time. it has some good plugins like ad-blocking in it too

while im recommending things, http://free.grisoft.com/ the best free anti virus

I have a problem too. I use IE and I got no problems But since I cant see my Gmail under this junk I downloaded Opera then Firefox. The both programs were unable to connect even I set them as my default browser. Is this a matter of security? I got Win98SE and I recently downloaded the latest IE patch. Does someone have an idea how to fix this?

well for firefox make sure you have javascript enabled. gmail uses that kind of junk.. at least it looks like it to me when i check my gmail.
but why its broken in ie and opera as well... hm. it makes me wonder if somehow javascript is broken in your setup since that ie patch

Will it just not let you login to g-mail or is it giving you a page error/blank page?
