People, since when is a line that says "something is teaching useful lessons and truths" offending? You're being ridiculous. Or maybe you forgot what "to offend" means? As an example: putting a saint in a porn is considered offensive, drawing caricatures of Mohammed is offensive... But saying a game teaches you valuable lessons and truths? I heard that being said about every game in existence.

You're the one who's being intolerant towards other people's opinions.

Now about the review. We're a site that's relying on volunteers: volunteers write the reviews, volunteers take the screens, volunteers are the admins, volunteers like me are talking to you in this thread; nobody's receiving any money, as you can see. We can't censor the reviewer's opinion, because we'll be on the same level as the nazis and the bolsheviks then. A part of our staff's job is correcting grammar and style mistakes (includes removing offensive material). Now there was only one case where we were forced to remove offensive sentences in the past. So now you know we don't just upload stuff without first checking them. We do, and this review is as innocent as a kid playing in a sandbox.

I'm sure nobody from you would have volunteered to review this game objectively, as you say, so my opinion is that it was good that someone like The Lemming, who'd care to actually play the game and write a few lines on it, has done this. I don't see a point in someone reviewing it who already has the preconception that the game is bad, even if it truly is. We have had many reviews in the past, some of them were detailed analytical reviews, some of them were just small chunks of info on the games. We can't force volunteers to write in a professional way, and we can't force (and don't want to force) them to change the scores they give to games.

Look for example at this review. It has a score of five and nothing in the review talks about why it deserves a 5/5, but I'm sure when it was uploaded people didn't lynch the guy because of that. What I'm trying to say is even though a review doesn't have what it takes to be a real review, Abandonia is not so rich, not so mighty to refuse what people offer.

These christian games (yes, *not* religious but purely christian games. Show me a muslim or buddhist game for a change...) appear rather often on the site lately. Almost seems like there's a bunch of christian people here who upload and review games more often than others.

Then please find us a muslim, buddhist, satanist or anti-christian game that could be added for balance.

I think the majority of Abandonia fans are with me on the 'do not want' for religious propaganda.

What I think is hilarious though is that there was probably people working on this... game... that where probably honestly thinking it'd convert people. Just like there's people who probably honestly belief Jack Chick tracts can convert people (rather then just make them laugh or annoy them.)

Far as I'm concerned, hosting religious (or political) games on Abandonia is both a waste of bandwith and uncomfortably close to taking a religious stance. I'd favour a neutral position for the site without propaganda games.

I usually don't enter such stales topics which are opened solely to troll around without an afterthought... But this discussion is so ridiculous that I feel like I have to step in. Not to make a stand as either group of this discussion, but rather to say that assuming that the whole world actually share your opinion without even the shadow of an intelligent cognitive process to back it up is really what bothers me the most in my whole life experience I accumulated thus far.

Ok, you don't like Christian games? I don't either, I'm an atheist. Yet, you will never see me actually complain about it. Why? Because some people do like those kind of games. They might be in minority, as the public rating seems to indicate... But the reviewer of this game clearly don't share your opinion. And guess what? We actually make sure that games which are reviewed on this site are reviewed by people who actually like the games (or the genre) they are reviewing in the first place.

If you don't like it, don't play it. And if you are such a fanatic that you actually feel obligated to post around to force other people to actually share your opinion, then please don't post at all. No Christian or any other religion will ever be welcome in an forum populated by intelligent beings if the sole purpose of the intervention is to force your point on view down the throats of others.

I second this. I myself do not play this game, but can't the irrelevant posts be moved to Blahx3 to keep this thread clean for those of us who actually want to discuss gameplay of this game?

I'm truly amazed. I think I fully agree with Total Anarchy. The trolling in this thread is exceedingly intolerant and political. You're equating Christianity with Nazism?
