To elaborate: If a user feels they received an unjustified warning, they should discuss that with the staff member who issued it, or their superior - if there is one - but only do so in private.
The moderators have wide discretion as to how they should interpret this forum's rules of conduct. They can also choose to admonish a user they view as behaving inappropriately. If a user wishes to complain about a moderator's behavior, they should discuss that with a Super Moderator or an Administrator, not start a public attack on the given staff member. In either case, receiving an order to stop from an administrator should not be taken lightly. Insulting that administrator and implying oneself to be beyond their control is a Bad move. When I order someone to stop under the penalty of a ban, I'm never joking. Finally, because that seems to have been a major cognitive problem for this user... Your country, race, religion, gender, sexual practices or beliefs make NO DIFFERENCE in regards to your rights on the forum. Indeed, even whether you're actually human is of no consequence as far as this goes. Access to this forum is not a right, but a privilege. Abusing it will lead to it being revoked. This is not a democracy. No internet community is one, nor did we ever claim to be such. To everyone bringing up the "Free speech" argument In real life, your right to freedom of speech equals a right to be lynched by whatever angry mob is roused to action by your "free speech", or to be jailed if your "free speech" constitutes illegal activity or encourages such. Here, you are expected to follow the forum rules and not act offensively. The difference is minimal - but practically, both the restrictions and penalties are far less severe (usually - unless, for example, someone writes a letter to your ISP). Don't deify abstract concepts, kids. Once you actually consider the reality, your beloved "free speech" is nothing but a figure of speech. Thus to conclude by adressing one of his last arguments: Quote:
