Talking Morrowind yoga

Hi, I started the 3-th game from TES.
I like this saga, even well respected senior Japo thinks I didn't like Daggerfall.
No. Simply Arena is my first love, my first kiss in human life.
Hard to explain but true..

.well I started Morrowind with Bloodmoon and other.

I am Dark elf and the Lady. More of my characteristics in a mean moment.
I am equipped and armored, i know my duty.

But as usually the beginner has some Q. Excuse me Dosraider any novice has something to ask.

1 Q: I dunno how to call Quick Keys menu.
2 Q: Shame, but i dunno how to fight? Which are button for or maybe mouse? Yes, with F i ready the weapon and with ] i change the weapon. I do not want to use WT as stated my friend Capo. It is funny to meet some gigantic crab, who is ready to kill me in the very beginning because this is my first battle.
Ha ha...
The brave killed by some crab..

..and how to collect more money?

Every specialist and no specialist is welcome in my thread. Even.. even.. Dosraider.
Feel free to comment or make remarks.

funny moments ahead, ah?

To fight you ready your weapon and swing, there is an option in the menu to use best attack only I would turn that on if I was you. Otherwise the direction of movement changes the attack and each weapon is better in one attack then the others. Also quick clicking does the lowest damage, holding and then releasing the mouse button will do the higher damage. Depending on the speed of the weapon holding is better or clicking fast is better.

To make money collect things and sell them, if the merchant doesn't have enough money buy items off him then wait 24 hours and start selling those items back to him since he has gotten money back.

Hehe I knew this was coming soon...

The quick keys menu is F1. You can see all the keys (and change them) in Esc > "Options".

To "swing" or attack just left-click (not right- like in Arena and Daggerfall) with the mouse, while your weapon is drawn. There are three types of attack, "chop" "slash" and "thrust" I think. By default you choose the attack by moving the mouse in a particular way while clicking, only that there's only one correct attack for each weapon. For example a chitin spear does up to 13 damage with "thrust", but only up to 2 with the other attacks. As Darth says there's an option in the menu (again Esc > "options") to always use the best attack for every weapon, and then attacking is just click-click-click.

If you hold the left mouse button pressed a little the attack will be stronger. (You can press tab to switch to third person for a moment and see how long does it take your character to wind up the strike completely.)

The best way to collect money is looting of course. But for now I'd just see what you can do in Seyda Neen and then follow the story at least until you're in Balmora. There you can join any guild (and the Imperial cult in the fort outside town) and get quests to level up.

When you're starting out you can make a difference in money by stealing everything you can, if you want. You don't need a good stealth skill if you can find places where nobody's looking, although it's good to use those skills to train them. And remember that you can't sell something if you stole it in the same store/house, because they will recognize the stuff.

Alchemy can be a source of income too, as you can find ingredients everywhere. You can sell them directly but the potions should sell for much more. Also alchemy is hugely useful in Morrowind. You'll need at least a mortar, you can buy or steal one at a number of places, for example the Mague's Guild.

I suggest to install some mods before starting, a TES not modded is not a TES.

Many thanks for your kind advices dear DarthHelmet86, Japo and Capo.

I very carefully read them and memorized.
For fighting:
May i say it is like..
One press the spring (the weapon), hold for some moment and release to hit enemy?
..ah..something very strange occurred..ha ha ha
I back to the town, swimming the water to rest, because this crab hit me very bad and suddenly some guard attacked and killed the crab...

Once I managed to increase my sneak skill I like to sneak on all my enemies and hit them as hard as I can before they see me. It's pretty hilarious when you do it with strength 300 and a daedric katana or the hammer Sunder.

You mean if you're caught, right? Ask any guard and he can inform you (normally, you don't have to get caught to ask this), I think the topics are "law" or "fines and compensation". If I recall correctly you're given three options: to return the stolen items (I think they somehow identify all of them, not just the ones you just stole at that place) and pay a fine; to return the stuff but not to pay and accept instead a sentence to hard labor (which will reduce your skills); and of course to resist arrest.

I checked the provided link Resist Arrest.

I loaded the game after that, though. I didn't want to find out what's it like to be on the most wanted list.

The game's hard at first, there are many things out there that can kill you when you're starting (including stupid animals that shouldn't attack you in the first place). But after you increase your skills and attributes and get good weapons and armor, Morrowind is too easy.

My combat uses little or no magic, although that's an option. I must say I went for heavy armor, which is of course more protective than light or medium armor. And armor gives you more protection the more skilled you are with it.

OFF/ I'll note down your suggestion, but I don't know when I'll play DM2. Now I'm with the Elder Scrolls like you, and I also just bought Civilization V because it was cheap, but it will be long until I have time to play it... I did play Dungeon Master (1) a long time ago and I liked it a lot. I didn't finish it but I played a lot of levels. Having to make my own maps was a little too much, though, but I suppose DM2 will have its own maps.

Talking The last hot news from battleground

Done deeds:
I have returned the Healing ring to Fargoth.

I have helped Hrisskar to find money from Fargoth.

I have returned money from killed tax-collector Processus to the boss Sosuctos. He promised me 500 golds if i find and kill the murder of collector.

I do not hurry and investigated the small town and around.
I found the taxi - a big bug-like monster who may service as taxi. No. I know this is a save way but i have to up my 1 level.

I found a cave but when i enter with piece some men (incl. mage) attacked me badly so the brave retired fast. Some friend tell me about some cave full of brilliants and money. This one?
But i am still weak to fight number of opps. Probably i have to kill them all.

I upgraded my armor and shield. Now i have about 300 golds.

I tried to grab the picture with Print Screen. Not allowed. Have to make some change in the file.

But, but something is still wrong with my fighting. OK, i tried to find a good trainer to train me. No one.

Ok, what i do when meet crab or other opp?

My Health meter is full.
I have good iron shield. I have nice pant now. The option for the best attack is on. My armor class is 10.
My weapon is iron saber and with button F it is ready to hit.
The opp approaching. I am waiting ready to fight. Nice.
When the opp enters within fighting distance I point the crossbar to the opp, press the left mouse button, wait 3-4 seconds and release the button.
Is the strong sound a successful hit of yoga?
Japo said: click, click,click.
OK, but every-time a warning appeared:
--You can not rest here until enemy is close.---
But i do not want to rest but fight!!

Yes, for You this is funny, but for me this IS VERY important. I see how my health meter reduced, but fucked bug or crab is still alive.

Anyway the game is very nice. The atmosphere, the moving citizens, environment is open, the graphic, even the music.
I like it.
This is gigantic step ahead of Bethesda.

the brave

OFF

PS: Of course DM2 has very good own map. It is not so big map.
I can help with the map link, if needed, every time.
Very important: The famous minions are not appeared in the first let sat 1/3 part of the game. But when You see a flying round object before You at 2-3 meters heights, yes, the hell is here. Of course You may counter attack with own minions every moment.. But here is thread not for DM2 but for Mor.

The taxi bug is mostly for convenience, to save long boring travels. But now at first you'll enjoy the travel, you should take a look a the world of Morrowind.

If you press PrnScr the game takes the image and saves it to the game installation folder, instead of copying it to the clipboard. But it uses the BMP format, which is uncompressed and takes a lot of space; open them with MS Paint and save as JPG.

3-4 seconds are way too many, half a second is as strong as your attack will get. (I guess, because I haven't really found the information anywhere.) If you spend too long without attacking you're giving your enemy a huge advantage, of course.

I don't know how could you get that message about resting by clicking, to rest you have to press T. Again you can see all the keys by pressing Esc to access the menu, choosing "options", and then the "controls" tab. Remember that attacking is with the left mouse button, the right one is to access your inventory, magic, map and stats.
