Default Vermeer

Back in 1995/96 I played a game called "Collection of Art" (or something like that).
It is a German game (german publisher and producer) but I can't remember if it was on English or German language.
However, the game is about collecting (buying) art from a rich uncle or art that belonged to him.
But to gain money, you need to establish producing and trading business with cocoa, spices or tea etc... For that you need to buy suitable land (plantation) in different parts of the world. Of course, you can sell the cargo at any time, but the price isn't alway the best one. Every month there is an auction taking place and you can buy the art that belonged to your family.

I've been looking for this game long time ago, but found nothing, nor a clue or something similar.
Glad If you could help!

Cheers

Ok, now, after spending the whole night going around old magazines, I know excatly where I saw this game, it was in a BUG magazine sometimes between 2003 and 2005 (I'm really not sure), but the problem is that I have all those magazines at my fathers workplace, so I will not be able to get them before Tuesday.... I will look through BUG cds, but I am not very optimistic...

I don't mind waiting the whole week. Just take your time. If you don't find the game I will try to contact Bug magazine and ask a question or two.
And btw. thanks for the effort!

:brain: I don't know what to say - Thank you and big respect for your effort. k:
I asked around a bit and found out that this game is really a remake of the old one I played long time ago. The Great Art Race is a German game and is originally called Vermeer and Vermeer2 (Yes there is another part), but this goes outside Abandonia field of interests.

I will try to track down the original classic game and maybe write a word or two about it.

Well, Bard, thanks again for finding this great game. (Ovim si zaradio dvije pive k: )
