Yeah, you've probably heard that one before. :P
Anyway, what I remember is that it was a 2d overhead tank game. There was 2player support. And you could choose between EGA and CGA.
The goal was either to smash the opponents base, it MAY have been a ctf mode on it or maybe you were supposed to take out some main bunker or something like that. I remember you could rescue your own soldiers when the opponent destroyed one of your buildings and they fled from it.

Anyone know this game ? I've searched on lots of other sites without finding it so I guess it's kind of rare, but I'm pretty sure I would recognise it at once if I saw a screenshot or something...

I'm going to cautiously say that xtcabandonware has it. I know that the admins like to remove links from reply posts, but XTC is cool isn't it? And this isn't wares, is it?

Either way, here's the Moby Games link

Default Fire Power

I'm trying to find a tank game from the early 90's think it was a DOS game.

Your view is straight down on the tank cant remember if theres a single player but in multi player its split screen and you need to find the other players base and destroy its base or maybe just capture a flag.

Thats all I can remember at the moment.

Default Fire Power

Hi all, I'm looking for an old game I used to play, I can't remember the name, I've been searching and nothing rings a bell. It was an arcade-style 2D top-down tank game that I used to play on my old Tandy as a kid.

I believe it came out around the same time as Airborne Ranger (another one I played a lot), like mid to late 80's. If I remember right the graphics had that pink/blue/green/white scheme like a lot of the older games.

I believe the game was set in the future, you could choose your tank out of like 3 or 4 fictional designs, and then play single player or 2 player split-screen. The object was to find a building in the enemy territory that housed their flag, blow it up, and bring the flag back. The terrain was mostly turrets, walls, buildings, bridges, it had a futuristic urban feel. The thing I remember most about the game was how massive the playing field was, I believe it was randomly generated and it felt like you were driving through miles and miles of enemy territory and it was pretty difficult to find the flag and get back with it.

Does this ring a bell to anyone? I wish I could tell you more but that's really all I remember, and I could be wrong on some parts of my description. If you could throw out some names, I'm sure I'll remember when I see it. Thanks...
