Heh... I don't appreciate being patronized, but I'll let it slip for your good humour. I suppose it was kinda dumb though.

I've never read Princess and the tiger, nor have I heard of it, until now, so excuse my off-topicness, but who wrote it and what sort of book is it?
It's kind of a paradox, with not real ending, if I remember correctly. It's actually called "The Tiger, or the Lady?" by Frank Stockton It's really interesting, and you can red it HERE if you wish. It is kind of lengthy, and the main point of the story is near the bottom half, if you don't want to read all of it, but it is a good story/question of human nature.

Gah, we discussed this at work the other day and I still can't remember the answer, i know it's nothing like 'Are you the guard who lies?' or 'Which door leads to freedom?' because both of those questions won't work (Because of one reason or another, pure luck would see you through it) If I remember correctly, you have to phrase the question in such a way that you will always get the right answerb gah... I'm just babbaling now because I hate this one >.<

Edit: And I remember it from the Labyrinth, but she get's it wrong does she not?

"which door will the other guard tell me is hell" and then you go the opposite of what ever the answer is.

I've favourited it for later refference, I can't read off a computer screen for long and my printers downstairs on the other PC. Thank you very much though, it should give me something to dwell on at work...

oops sorry, you're right, it is where he points, not the opposite (I went through it one too many times in my head)

As a whole, I am safe and secure.
Behead me, and I become a place of meeting.
Behead me again, and I am the partner of ready.
Restore me, and I become the domain of beast.
