I'm using AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy for ads and some viruses.

But main program for AV is McAffe Virus Scan.

I remember doing tech support in high school, we put OSX on an old 575 Mac. I think it took 20 minutes to boot up.

I just don't worry about RAM. 1gig of it (1024mb) works well enough.

We had P133 with 32MB of ram that we used to run as NT Server (that's right, whole NT Terminal server) just to get use of our MetaFrame licences.

After install we put it bellow one desk and forgot about it. Finally we found it not long ago, still working. They gave me that PC, so now I'm using it with IPCop (I added 32MB more of ram) as firewall at home.

Much better then WinME in any case.
I don't know about that, I ran ME for quite a while before upgrading to XP and when i di, was greatly disappointed. All the security holes, updates, extra configuration changes that had to be made...seems like XP should have stayed in the workshop for another month or two before being released. In any case, ME at least isn't being targetted by major viruses anymore....here's hoping that future versions of windows get smoothed out more before public release

There is a reason for that LOL

Can someone really use that OS?

WinME is really bad product and support for it was really bad.

Win98SE / Win2K was much better choice at the time!
