I have the CD version of the game and I can't get any of the voices to work.. The only program I use is DosBox, and I'm not sure which version it is, but.. anyway yes.. voices dont' work.. have the cd version please help

Maybe the problem lies in the ingame configuration. Press ESC while playing and select Audio Configuration (or something like that). Move the speech bar all the way to the right.

And configure the soundcard to the following values:
Sound Blaster 16
Adress 220 h
IRQ 7
DMA 1
Cause that's the sound hardware DosBox emulates under default settings.

Undertaker, I have the same problem and, as one user with the same problem said in the past, the old hag does indeed ask for pages beyond 16 (18 sometimes). In addition, the passwords to the book of lore (which someone claimed to be limited) change a bit on mine. The ones that were systemeatically reported don't work. Can anybody help? It would suck to haev to restart the game with a patch or with another version of the game.

And what's with the pit in that quotation?

I have a problem with the game.

On the second copyprotect check in white tower the old lady ghost always asks such word that does not exist. Usually wants a third or fift word in first line or second line. But how there could be a third or fift word in first line?? only 1 word there is.

anyway, even if not asked a word in headings line, there is always to few words on the line, or no word started with given letter.

I have been asked following words:
page 6, line 6, word 1, t
page 10, line 3, word 3, t
page 17. line 3, word 3, r
page 16, line 2, word 1, l
Page 5, line 1, word 3, l
Page 5, line 2, word 5, t
and so on and so on...

if any of you know reason for such idiotism, or sees that I'm, please tell.
