Not unless they are VIP. And if they are guilty of such a charge they could very well lose their VIP status, which is not what a VIP usually look for here since the VIP status is a reward based on your participation on the board and the site.

So what? I use edit for minor grammar faults all the time(and to add spaces too), but this is still a good idea, because you really can misuse the edit feature and it's not such an important issue anyway...

I've used it before, more often than not it's to edit grammar mistakes or whatnot, but it's all good if it is indeed being abused.
