I downloaded DOSBox to work with my original Star Control 2. The game works and the sound works, but every time I go to another screen within the game, I get strange colors..... it happens in Super Melee as well as in the full game. I had the same trouble, and found the answer in the Update.txt : you have to start Star Control 2 with the /g:BIOS argument. In other words, create a .bat file with the command :

STARCON2 /g:BIOS

in it, and run the game from it.

the game works fine, but once i start playing (in dosbox) the graphics get very poor and colors turn really weird. Can anyone help me out?

ok, I'm here. I've got pdf manuals for Star Control 1 and Star Control 2 and official hint book for Star Control 2. They're in english and they come from my original cd of an edition of star control 3 that includes both sc1 and sc2.

looking for the cd I've found my original 3 floppies with ambush at sorinor, I see that it's not in the database, are you interested?
