hmm.. Steam and pools... I might have some photos of that somewhere...
But untill, I'm going to show you some photos I took in Switzerland and Germany, in 2003. Mostly landscape. This one is taken from the airplane (obviously), near Frankfurt AM. I just love the way the fields split up, different colours, and the forests...... This was taken on Mt. Rigi, in Switzerland. That's a beautiful mountain, we took some "train" most of the way up (not sure what it's called...) The lake is Luszern Lake, or something like that. It's huge!! Imagine living in one of those houses! It's so cute This is on that train/wagon/whateveritis. The cow is plastic!!! Placed up besides the trails! Then when we went higher, we saw some actual cows. (They weren't black and white  ) Taken from the top of the mountain. I remember standing there for a long time, staring. Breathtaking. Okey, this one is different. But it's taken in Switzerland, nevertheless  It's (quite obviously) a seat in a bus. We were in some tunnels, driving through a mountain. Pretty cool, in my opinion! |

Cold?
The average heat in Switzerland while I was there was about 30-35°c!! But those pics were taken in the mountains Bit colder there than in the town I stayed in. And the pics I posted earlier, from the Westfjords, yeah, it's pretty cold there. By the Greenland-ocean |

Hmm.. I'm draining up my photo album
Just found some pics I took last spring. Me, my former boyfriend and my family went to my old town for couple of days, and travelled a bit around. Svínavatn. Isn't close to my hometown, but about 200 km's away from the city. Svínavatn = Pig's-lake. My sister. This is our (oh so fancy) boat, Litli Rau?ur (Little Red). Me and my friend put my sister in it, and took the oars away, and pushed her on the sea. The boat was tied to the ground, but she couldn't see it, as the roap was underwater. Then we walked away The "river" by our house. I kinda like this one. There's actually nothing so special about it, but I dunno... Next day, few minutes drive from our house. Doesn't look much like Iceland, does it? Seen from Látrabjarg. Látrabjarg is the Westest point of Europe. Most of the puffins in the world live there, or in Vestmannaeyjar (one of my favourite places in Iceland ). At Látrabjarg. If you look carefully, you can actually see one really small fishing boat there This one has absolutely nothing to do with my hometown. It's taken on the south-west corner of Iceland. Me and couple of friends rented a car, to try to find puffins. But we didn't find any in this trip I don't remember what this place is called, and maybe it just doesn't matter.. |
