Auto setting for Cycles will run only 3000 cycles on non-protected-mode games, which may be well too low for many of them out there. Similarily the Auto setting for Core will only enter Dynamic mode when running a protected mode game. Setting the Core fixed to Dynamic mode is preferable, especially since the recent DosBox versions do not display any more instability in it than in Normal mode. Similarily, setting Cycles to a pre-defined value higher than 3000 is also preferable. My default settings are Dynamic Core and 12000 Cycles (with 1000 step for increasing and decreasing them). |

On another note: 1)As for whoever asked about the Adventures Guild, you have to look up on the guild's book the return times of the ships, and make sure to be in London when they return (they stay inport for 2 weeks or so), only then can you invest in them. Make sure you invest in as many as you can, since a lot of them go amiss (many are high risk-high profit, after all). Getting 50k profit out of a 1k investment was sweet, but you gotta be prepared for quite a few of them not returning. 2)About workshops, I take it then that you have to wait for some specific time or event that will lead for the appearance of the master artisans in the in? 3)Is anyone successfully handling the battles? I found them a pain, luckily you can switch to "passive sea battles" and have them autorun. With passive battles I've captured 3 ships (one of them a galleon) in 2 battles, but in most games handling the battles yourself gets better outcomes. |

Yes, but that's irrelevant - the default memsize=16 is more than sufficient for most DOS games and programs.
