No, it's definately a Dark Sun one. Either Dark Sun: Shattered Lands or Dark Sun: Wake of the Ravager. Or maybe even Dark Sun Online, an ambituous but ultimately failed MMORPG.
The "neanderthal" folks are probably mul, a race of sterile half-dwarfs, and the "cricket" people are thri-kreen. I don't want to sound insulting, but if it's "not matching the town you have in your memory", then you're probably remembering wrong, or it's a later town. |
