Default Cannot install "The Godfather"

When trying to install the 2006 game "The Godfather" It gives me the rroro message;

"Installation cannot contiune because you must have DirectX 9.0c or higher to play this game.

And i have DirectX 9, heck, i just updated to the June 2010 release! Any idea's how to fix this?

Do you think if I edit the Autorun.cfg section to something else it'll work? The section in question is this one. Quite simple.

DirectXVersion=9.0c

If I change that, would something magical happen? And i mean if I change that to like, directx 9.whatever version I have, so it checks for the version I have, rather then 9.0, even though I do have it.

However: If its gonna work with your game .... no idea.

Also: check your DX version with dxdiag. DX9.0c is not the same as DX9.
