Default Epic Games 20th Anniversary

They decided to celebrate giving away some tracks of old gems like Jazz Jackrabbit, Jill of the Jungle and other recent games, you can grab them here:

Seems to me, the Unreal Tournament theme resembles a bit Halo's Perilous Journey, or the other way around, since UT was earlier. Not much, but gives me the same feeling.

You can get the game music for Tyrian on GOG.com. It is free if you have an account (which is free).

Did they record the MIDIs with some soundfont?

I think I managed to run the original game in DOSBox with Gravis Ultrasound emulation, but I'm unsure if it used the Gravis synth or the patches.

Not sure about midi or not .. my hearing is an ol'mans hearing .... hardly can tell the difference nowadays.

But if you want to try things out in dosbox there is an interesting topic @ Vogon regarding gravis:
http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=16974
If with ver 0.74 it's needed or not, as sound emulation made some huge improvements, yours to find out.
If you want to try things out I would advise to do a second dosbox install besides your regular dosbox (alter folder install name to dosbox_gravis or whatever), just be sure to put an appropiate dosbox.conf file in the second dosbox install folder.
