Why, why can't the rest of world be important why can't an Ethiopian, Croatian or whoever be a secretary of UN,and make it powerful, it depended's on what kind of person you are and not where your from, therefore your post is very hipocrate, as it makes some nations less 'valuable', it's United Nations, not Opressing Nations!!!

i am sorry its really a shame but that's how the world works .
If kofi annan was russian he wouldve had the support of his country but hes not so Russia can feel free to not support Kofi annan.He has the support of his country which is not as powerful as the others.Thats just how life is.

I did not say it should be the US, you should read my statements before calling me a hypocrite. I meant a respected country like Germany or canada should preside over it, not people from countries where corruption is a major in university (or what passes there as a university)
