Grazie for Q, dear Capo. Well, You are very smart gamer, are not You? You are the best one in AB having 215 passed games. OK. 1.First reason to avoid close combat. In this combat i am under attack of 4-5 members of opponent group. Till hitting with scrolls from distance i am relatively save. 2.Second reason - the very clever wizard aka Gnadige Kmonster adviced me in the beginning of the game: No need to be very close to enemies, yoga. Kill them from distance. 3.Third reason-my best weapon is Dragon Breath scroll. But if i hit monster with DB from 3-4 meters, the spell hits all of my team with 40-50 HP, which is inaccettabile. But because You want to see CLOSE combat, i will sacrifice my principle and bravely start such battle. .. I am in big radioactive room clearing non stop from monsters. The protection agaist radioactive damage is to hold special skull on the screen. I agree with Capo that battle system here is ...hmmm. alittle bit boring.

If you have the skull in backpack (one per character), that fits. No need to hold on screen.
And yes, the game is hugh, thus the battles become slightly boring at the end. But there's a reason why the game reached 9 sequels. Also do not forget your other spell-elements (eg. water). There you have single-target spells. A good tactic for fighting is to stand in place, shoot until things get in range, then whack them with your mighty halberds, swords, or whatever you have. PS: even though I could not (yet) find my MM/ certificates, here is something equally awesome:

Ha ha ha,
Compliment or? Bravo, dear twillight, bravo, ... I cleared the radioactive room and jumped down.. Still i am unable to enter biblioteka because of too much monsters before this room with chest. Only one time i have lucky to open the chest but the member with Lloyd beacon, namely Zoltan was dead. Well, now is imposible to beat the monsters (they are about 20 before the room and many more are behind me). Even in Fallout, when i met 18 gangsters in their head quartet, i was able to kill them all one by one. Here, they are all around me, no save place, and The Guardians are ...mamma mia.. Not complain, just explain the situation. I did about 12 attempts, no result. Yes, i used all pumping stuff. Bless, Stone Skin, Protection against Fire, Magic etc.... Red dots in pic are enemies. There are another wave before me and last one before the entrance of th ebiblioteka. Not shown. OFF OFF Twillight, how many minutes to beat Prince of Persia? My best result is 38 min. from possible 60 minutes as bad Jaffar ordered. You, Capo the Gamer of Universe?

Prince of Persia 1 Highscore (=time left): 31:27 (all extra life collected). This means 28 minutes 33 seconds used from the original 60 minutes.

Hmmm..very good. I used 38 minutes and no extra lifes. 4 were enough for me. Do You drink from the bottle, which reverse all screen upside-down? I drank.

OFF
No, I did not drink. I used walkthrough and tons of practice to reach that time. And I'd not remember it either unless I made that note in the local forum of it
