Hi, I just got registered here to ask for something that I just don't understand. (BTW Thanks, and great guide )
I've done everything that you have written, and when I just opened the installer for the game Ignition (I'm in love with this game) it worked perfectly, the screen opened the original game and I chose the languaje that I wanted. But then, when it finished, I tried to run the file that is the game itself from the Dosbox again, it said ''This program cannot be run in Dos mode''. The thing is that then I tried to run the game ''normally'' (out from the Dosbox) and it doesnt work, just like at the beginning. Then I tried to run again the installer, and it says: Not enough memory on exec.

Help please?

The message "This program cannot be run in Dos mode" means that the game is for Windows; but it could be for example for Windows 3.x, then it will never work in modern 64-bit Windows. See if this other guide helps you:

IIRC, there are both Windows and DOS executables in Abandonia's Ignition archive.

Simply mount your CD drive as D:\ in dosbox with whatever CD in it and run the game with

from the game directory.
No probs here......

It apparently won't run if you don't mount a CD .....

[Edit]
Forgot to mention:
The dosversion (didn't test the Win version) is indeed ready to run in dosbox, no install needed. Sound and all are fine.

You're doing something wrong. Have you created the directory as instructed in this tutorial? What is the exact mount line you are entering?
