As much as I remember reading about it somewhere, there are some dungeons and other things in both games, which cannot be entered / used while in either of the two games alone. When you install the two games together though (all files in the same folder I think), those unusable locations suddenly become freely accessible - which ultimately expands both games for an even bigger world. The combination of two games was called World of Xeen.
It's an unusual, but very interesting concept, which no other game seems to have ever reproduced - essentially it's easier to provide a complete game from the start instead.

Exactly. Actually, you need to start special "merging" module instead installing M&M5 to make full game. And it's not "suddenly" - you simply have keys for this dungeons in opposite part. I.e. dark side dungeons unlocked from cloud side and vice versa - so naturally unaccessible from only one game. And whole technological part of game, AFAIR, accessible only from this meta-dungeons. Just along with ultimate game goal - restoring full Xeen.

OK, i remember one semi-damaged airplane in Lava section in Dark Side.
There was same modern techno design in it.

I continued hard battles with these ED-409. But i up my HP because i found and received 3 Orbs to the nearest king. They gave me 3 M HP.
Just now i found one more Orb. lvls - 14,15,16.
Sadly, i can not smash yet the doors at opposite side with feets.
I suspect that there are more Orbs over there.
