Default Rex Nebular - problem (?) or not

Every time I run Rex Nebular via DOSBox I get this 10 secs "wait" transitions between screens. I wonder if this is game's inherent attribute, because I havent owned Rex in its times. Also, I don't want to check YT vids to see how smoothly the game runs on original system(s) as I don't want to see puzzles solved, accidentally.

I wouldn't post this "trouble" here, but game relies heavily on hotspot-hunting, so these transitions just add to my impatience. I'm curious if this is somehow related to game's realistic graphics and inventory aimations, loading everytime you enter next screen.

These commands will switch DOSBox to maximum CPU emulation speed:

core dynamic
cycles max

You can type them at the DOSBox command prompt or set them in the DOSBox.conf file. Should make the game load faster.
