The 50 meat is just th autosell price, that's how much you'd get if you sold it via the "sell items" link at the top of your inventory. The actual value that other players wil pay fluctuate wildly with the economy, 1k is the current gonig rate for the webs and crackers.

And then expect to be banned from shops which players are aware of this problem and just don't want leechers to steal their stock. I know I did, anyways.

That's the essense of business, if you don't like it, put limits on how many can be bought per day (or devise some new system or distributing goods for the poor and needy). I use my shop for selling in bulk (or the occasional rare I get) and I am in the business to make meat. If prices at are at a low ebb, I buy a good amount (never stake more than you wouldn't be able to lose) and then sell them when I think the prices are high enough.

It is not stealing, it's just how an economy such as KoL works. I myself would be very suprised indeed to finnd myself banned from a shop for buying some of its stock. How is this a problem? Or leeching?

And I think some people open shops as way to get items to new people for cheaper prices and don't want people to buy it all up if it's cheap and then sell it for higher.

When I was in business, I always looked at the profile of those who bought from me. Most of my stock were all 1 per day max, but some of them were more than 1 per days or illimited. When I looked at their profile, if they had a shop themselves and were selling the item they just bought higher than what they bought me, I banned them on sight.

It's leeching because someone doing that only try to make money from the back of someone else instead of trying to put an effort in it. When I try to sell low so newbies can get good price, I expect newbies to buy the items. Not someone who's only trying to steal a profit from me.

Ah, I understand now. I thought you were critising those who deal in items such as chow meins, and rares, in order to make meat (and buy them in bulk).

EDIT: I had the option to not let baleeted people buy things and my shop deactivated. I may not want to hear their blithering in chat, but their meat's as good as any else's.
