Default Arcanum - bastard skeleton archers overpowered

Doing the dwarf's quest in Vormantown is a nightmare as the skeleton archers shoot about 10 arrows a second.

Does anyone understand how Arcanum works so it can be fixed?

Is this just me?

The majority of fan-patches only affect the single-player options.
And the importing of characters just ends in a crash

This game is more bugged that Oblivion: Elder Scrolls.

Yeah, my level 28 mage got killed in 5 seconds...

It could be changed using Arcanum's catastrophically hard to use WorldEditor though, but good luck with that.

The game has some odd speed issues. I started using turn based combat because the real time combat is totally ruined by these speed issues. Enemies walk WAY too fast otherwise and you can't even click on them because of the speed.

Yeah. You could try the turn-based combat (not the fast turnbased) and see if that helps.

IIRC, you can't use turn-based combat in multiplayer mode.
And yes, the multiplayer enemies are good several times harder than single player ones. That's because they should be fought by a group, not by a single individual.

Yes, and one of them is capable of killing two well armoured characters in 5 seconds, right? (My char had Thieves' Armor and was lvl 25, Pete's was in some enchanted chainmail and he was lvl 7.) Overpowered bastards.

I think 5th is right about the ganging up on them, Tomekk.

I was playing with some Russian dude the other day - I just let him batter them while I ressurected him and button bashed harm at them.

Using the auto-equip for potions is handy, too.
My inventory was filled with them after I slaughtered all the shop keepers...
That building near the south docks, guarded by brigands, has just one chest with a thousand or so coins.

Disappointing...

I've got a programme to slow down stuff - it seems to help also.
