I made a study of evolution first and then tried to evolve intelligent dinosaurs.
The mammals kept catching up in the intelligence race. It was a close run,
but eventually I managed it (Had to ice-comet a mammalian civ to do it).
Interestingly, the sealife, especially crabs and so on, were almost the winners.
After civilization took its course, most of my dino civ left the planet. There had been a small nuclear war during the nanotech age (or some other advanced age),
whcih destroyed a city, but left some robots wandering around like animals.
After everyone had left, the intelligence race began again, and the robots became
intelligent and started their own civ.
I froze the planet into an iceball, but this did not faze them.
Then I fried the planet into a venus-like hell, but they were not impressed.
Eventually, they followed their predecessors into space, but some kept hanging on.
I had to ice-comet them and was left with a sterile planet.
Fascinating game !
Cheers,
Lodewijk
