Default warhammer40k : final liberation not working please help

I bought this game from my local game traders for a couple bucks.
I finally got round to installing it a while ago, I pop the disc in it installs but when i start the game it plays the ssl logo then crashes.
Could somebody help?
Cd is fine barely any scratches and no really deep ones.

i'd try even lower, 90-99% or so. the game was made for pentium 90... and are you sure you are doing it correctly? (if using mo'slo)
if that doesn't work, you can try using virtual pc (downloadable for free) and run the game from win98. i ll try to get the game and look in to it
