Yes, I tried that yesterday. /w is good, but if you have many files you should use both ("dir /w /p")

I always have
SET DIRCMD= /P/OGEN In my Autoexec. That way, DIR is displayed by default with page breaks and files organized in order of extensions then filenames. |
