If you must use a button, the exit button from Duke Nukem 3D would be the best choice. It's more refined and really gives you a good feeling while pressing it.

A catapult seat mechanism would at least mean we could have the files being shot out with a bang. I remember how we used to have to push this one button that said "eject" when we wanted to empty the "server" (or cassette player as we used to call it). It worked but it was crude and not very beautiful.
