In case you didnt recognize it yet, a1s, the information about the main character having a certain pet can be called a "game description". This game should be about giving clues not telling whole stories. So could you please - pretty please - refrain from complaining about how ppl are giving game descriptions as long as they are definite.

Oh pull that metal rod outta your backside and just play the game, this one exception doesn't mean squat, and I'd rather just answer it.
As said before, it's either Space Quest 5, or Half-Life 2 (Lamarr, the headcrab :P)
