That's been changed around last fall. 3XBlah is a place where people were talking about all sorts of things and I guess (this is only my personal opinion) that someone thought they were just doing it to raise their post counts. So in order not to prevent talking, but also not to encourage the spaming-for-the-sake-of-posts the posts in 3XBlah (and in Games) don't count.
