Default "Lemmings + Oh No! More Lemmings" CD-ROM Version (with music)

There seems to be an abundance of Lemmings ports and various releases for the PC, but I haven't been able to find this particular version anywhere. Unfortunately for me, it happens to be the one I grew up with.

It contains the original "Lemmings" (DMA Design; Psygnosis) bundled with the add-on "Oh No! More Lemmings" and some demos for other games in the series, if I remember correctly. The game itself seems to be nearly identical to the original DOS version, save for the higher quality music (the music is primarily the reason I am requesting this).

Here's a gameplay video of this particular version and its music -

I think I have the version you're after... check this out:

Code:

I can't remember where I got it from, unfortunately. Like you, I was drawn to obtain it because of the CD audio music.

It's a BIN+OGG version, it will work out of the box with DOSBox. If you want to burn it into a CD I'm afraid you'll have to convert the audio back to WAV and edit the CUE file accordingly to reflect the changes.

I think this might be it, thank you!

Sorry to ask though, but I'm not a very experienced DOSBox user. How do I go about getting this to run properly? I thought I knew what I was doing, but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to run the iso directly, or mount it using DAEMONTools and run the files from there (I tried both ways, and it can get it to run, just without any music playing).

No need to use Daemon Tools or anything. Start DOSBox and type the following:

Code:
mount C <Folder you want to use as hardrive>

imgmount D <Path to CUE file> -t iso

D:

GO.BAT
You can add these to the [autoexec] section of DOSBox.conf if you're not running any other games with it. If you do, I suggest you to use an interface like DBGL or D-Fend Reloded.

Perfect, all works as intended now.

Thanks again, man. I'm glad this was finally resolved.

Oh, I never knew that DOSBox can play CUE directly. Thank you for the info, Neville!

Vanilla DOSBox will take BIN+WAV and BIN+OGG. The later is a great way to save disk space. Unofficial builds will take BIN+MP3 too, or so I've been told.

Hmm, I thought rather about "standard" bin/cue pair... It isn't supported then, right? *sigh*

Those are also supported. The only thing, if the audio is stored in separate tracks you should point to the CUE rather than the BIN file.

Yes, I am familiar with this method since old consoles' rips. I simply wasn't aware that DOSBox supports it. Thank you again!
