Here is a thread to share the experience that has caused you some of the worst pain in your life! I would prefer physically, because those are more amusing most of the time, but emotionally and mentally are ok too. Hehe, actually, mentally could be pretty funny...

So one of the worst events that happened to me, happened when I was about ten. I was playing baseball, and I was the catcher. The stupid kid let go of his bat, which in turn swung out and hit me right in the crotch. Luckily, I was wearing my cup like a good boy, so no biggy right!? WRONG! The force of the bat hitting it caused the cup to shatter inward. I collapsed to the ground and very slowly crawled to the locker room. Once in there I slowly started taking of fmy pants when my coach came to see if I was alright. I told him what happened and he went "Oh...ow...um...I'll leave you to clean that up..." then shut the door and left me to remove plastic shards...

I experienced pain of the ninth level here some days ago.

Up to that point, my pain-scale consisted of only 8 levels, with the 7th level of pain being a direct smash into the nuts.

Level 8 is gracing of the nuts (as it also adds psychological trauma to the physical).... "Did it miss? Please God, tell me it missed... I think it missYAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!" *faints*

Level 9 happened as I was biking home from work one day without sunglasses, and a mosquito flew straight into my right eye, lodged itself under my eyelid and proceeded to sting me several times in my eyelid and eye and everywhere else she could sting. And as I was biking downhill very fast, I had to break down and get off the bike before trying to get the devil out. That was hellish as you wouldn't believe.

I once had one of the screws in my eyeglasses fall out and under my eyelid, and it cut my eye, I bled, and it scratched, and hurt, and I couldn't get it out. It finally fell out after about a day. You think the bee was bad. I still have a scar from that on my eye I think. =/ I hate eye injuries <_<

Well compared to your eye injuries mine seems somewhat insignificant, but I developed a fear of dentists afterwards.

As a kid (that was still in the times of socialism where you didn't have private dental practices, but you were assigned to a dentist) I got an elderly woman for a dentist. The problem was her hands. They were shaking all the time - so she had to hold the drill with both hands in order to steady it.
I don't know what happened when she was drilling my tooth, but she had to screw up big time!
I was 11 and she started drilling one of my teeth. Obviously her hand sliped or something with her drill still on, because she injured my gums - that's right, she drilled for a second or so in the gums and not the teeth. It took quite a while to heal, but it's OK now. The pain was great, but not unbearable. The biggest effect was a phychological one - I'm still mortally terrified of dentists and I get a high fiever just by knowing I'll have to go for a check-up.

INVASIVE SURGERY!
Wheee!

Here's a description!
Okay, you get anesthia right? Then they stick a IV into your arm without numbing the area, they pump liquid into you, you get like 3 other shots. Then, the most horrible part. You wake up afterwards... oh my god, it's beyond belief, merely trying to turn your head in the slightest direction may cause you to vomit, the anesthia and pain combined is the most horrible thing I've ever felt, bleh.
Not only that, but I had a slice at the back of my ear that went down to my ear canal, very deep, and it throbbed and bled, and did some other nasty stuff that was weirding me out.

Ouch all the above must be very painful!

My two worse pains were:

2)I had an operation on eh, private part and the doc did not give me enough anesthetic for that area, so he started with that small knife and....it was very painful.

1)The worst pain I can remember was about 5 years ago. I managed to have the muscles in my right side back, completely split. I couldn't sleep, eat, drink, walk, sit, lie down, stand up, nothing without extreme pain. Went to the hospital of course and after 4 days of continuous very very strong painkillers the pain was a bit less so I managed to get some sleep. Then another 7 days to get a bit better. Went off the painkillers after about 2 months and the pain completely stopped after 6. Just thinking about it make me feel sick. If I wasn't so much against drugs I am certain I would have bought some for the pain.

Mine :

When I was 6 I had pleurisy (I think that's how it's spelt, but that's beside the point) which is like triple pneumonia. Anyway, point is that they had to extract some tissue from me. I thought that it was going to be a quick-in, quick out job on my leg or somesuch, but what they actually had to do was extract a tissue sample FROM MY LUNGS by putting a needle in my back for about 3 minutes.

Having a needle in your back at the best of times is unpleasant, but when in has to travel through your ribcage too so that they could get a marrow sample is even worse.

What made it EVEN WORSE is that they couldn't use a local anaesthetic on me, due to my age, and having a total anaesthetic would have been 'impractical' for 5 minutes of pain.

Now have a fear of needles, with good reason.

Oh also your baseball bat story is nowt. I got hit with a cricket ball in the knackers by an adult player (I play for an adults' team despite being 14 at the time) without a cup on due to me fielding not batting. I actually collapsed and there was like blood everywhere.

Haven't played since surprisingly enough.

Although thankfully it's all intact and stuff. It was just bruised for about 4 weeks, the cut healed quickly. Glad I was on holiday or people would kick me in the knackers to make it hurt more (like people slapping your shoulders when they're burnt etc.)

I can think of two, but they're probably not as bad as getting hit in the nuts or having a mosquito/screw in your eye (but i wouldn't know about getting hit in the nuts  ) I got my wisdom teeth out and I was out of commission the whole day of the surgery. I couldn't eat because I'm allergic to vicodin or something, and so I was throwing up a lot. Anyway, when I woke up in the morning, I had no drugs in me and the ache in the back of my head and jaw was awful.

The next was worse. I got in a car accident and split my head open and ended up getting 9 staples in my head. That wasn't bad, it just felt funny, but the next morning I was drug free when I woke up and home alone so no one could help me and bring me some drugs. My head was throbbing with my heartbeat--especially when I stood up. I just had to lay there and curl up and wait for my painkillers to kick in.

You guys win LOL
