Corpus you only contract during the main quest.
As a spoiler, it's not very impressive.

As a vampire you become a lot more powerfull, but it has a lot of drawbacks. I tried it, but I dislike playing as a vampire, as it tends to break the game when playing for a long time, as I usually do.

It's worth becoming a vampire once during the course of the game, once you are fairly powerful. There are quests to do and a super-special arifact to get (Eltonbrand).

Yesterday I became a vampire! Very interesting... but you cannot walk in the daylight. Can I use vampiric touch skill and what my stats modificier "Vampirism 50%" (or something like that) exactly means?

The vampiric touch ability is simply a lame excuse for what vampires do, but it can be pretty powerfull when used right
Use it :P
