Hiya all

Been having a bit of a hussle with Ravenloft 1, maybe its a bug?

heres the problem: I start the game, clear out the first area, rescue the merchant (Fhalken or something like that) and get to Barovia, and he just leaves the party! my main char says something like : "How rude to just leave without a word of goodbye, i must confess SHE was a bit of a grump, blablabla, perhaps SHE rejoined her camp west on the bakns of (Ylvid, Yliyid?)river?" from what i saw, Fhalken was a guy, not a girl. well after He left, i explored the town, got the tip on going to the burgomeisters house, talk to the elven girl there and ask her to join, AND SHE TRANSFORM IN TO FHALKEN! AND LEAVES WHEN I GET OUTSIDE! :blink: with the same text appearing again. and all chars i try to pick up behave almost the same in town (i found some mage/cleric woman in a house, got her to join and when i went out the door, she left the party when the screen loaded.)

I must admit i play an downloaded version (with somesort of crack involved, cuz' whatever i type at the protectionpassword question in the beginning, it starts), cuz' my original disc doesnt even spin anymore.

is it cuz' the crack? or am i missing a patch? or am i supposed to do something ingame? :help:

strange, i thought this problem was something for troubleshooting, but ok.
anyone have any answer? i found out today that i play the floppy version, is there any changes between disc and cdrom versions of this game?

I really need help on this one , cant get anyone to join my party!

I have the CD version and I haven't had any trouble with it. I didn't like the game that much, the sequel is waaaaaay better! I have that one on CD as well :angel:

hey, thnx :P maybe its the floppy version ive downloaded thats twisted.. oh well
I'll go and look fer a new replacement disc.
