I take it you have an image file then and not a physical cd. What is the file extention of that file?

PS: To explore a cd, you right-click on the drive found in "my computer" and select "explore".

no i have a cd i put into the computer, i explores it and same thing came up as clicking on it dragon, dragon dragon 1 and install and tales.

That is strange. When exploring a cd it shouldn't run, but only allow you to look at the files on it.

These are the contents of the virtual drive Z - the fake mount where DOSBox' system files are stored.
You didn't change to the CD.
Enter D: to do so. Then run the DIR command like it was said before.

i entered mount d and still nothing same contents as before when i enter dir.
just got my new game, space quest roger wilco and the time rippers.

No No NO! You don't need to type "mount d:", just d:

What letter does DOSBox show in the prompt? Z:\ ? That means you haven't changed to d:\, which is done by typing d:, and nothing else.
