I have heard a lot about it, but never used it myself.

I just tried it, but I'm still using Virtual PC. (have license for it)

I heard that VMWorkstation is faster then VPC, but I really never tested it.

I kind of was going to do that - but the activation for my copy never arrived to my e-mail. *grunt*

I have VMWare installed on both a WindowsXP box and a Linux box. It runs excellent under both platforms. The only hitch is under Linux. If you update to the current kernel you will need some tweaking... It works beautifully under XP. What are you going to be using it for? Just curious

Virtual PC is sluuuuuggish. Not recommended unless there is no other option.
