Concerning sound and music in Cannon Fodder 2... both are present here, but you must run it under DOSBox (0.63 is optimal) and type some tricky command inside it, then you will hear them both.
1) Run DOSBox and configure your desired sound card output 2) Before running the game exe type this command "loadfix -1" 3) Enjoy music and sound Thanks you VOGONS, I found this tip there /wallymian |

Tell you what, if you loved CF1 and want to keep good memories, don't download CF2.
You have been warned. ;-) |

'Twas me first game i bought for my PC and i had all sorts of trouble with it. After i made superhuman efforts to get it to run it ran about half way and then got screwed up. I think i fixed that later but it turns out the game was made not to work .

Ok, I don't know why so many people are having problems - I opened it under WinXP just fine - negligible frame rate skips and the sound is playing beautifully.
As for the question from above - how to throw grenades: - I knew this from owning the original (waaaay back when) and the manual would help for people who don't think to experiment..... use BOTH mouse buttons at the same time... it also works for Bazookas - just click the rocket icon next to the Squad ID (geez, I do it accidently often enough - trying to change tactics half-way through an attack often results in throwing a greande and then chasing it.... OUCH! ) - Also to note, those who don't know about explosives may also not have known you can seperate your men... click on them, when the two coloured squad icon comes up - click it to form a second squad (the original allowed three squads max, haven't tried it in Number 2 yet).... Any squad that is not selected will automatically shoot at any enemies in range, sometimes they will throw grenades too, so be careful where you put them. |
