i don't think that anybody will close it...between all these long talks i am also posting pics and i have already explained all i had to explain.I think that by making my point there's nothing more to talk about..maybe u're speechless.Told you, reach my level and post blehs till your computer dies.

I don't think one necessarily needs to be an artist to appreciate art, nor do I think their opinion counts for less simply because they may have no technical skill.

Different people like certain things, and dislike others, and they don't necessarily share those likes or dislikes. You may like gray tones, Himmler, but that doesn't mean that they are the right/only way of using color.

Personally, I prefer high contrasts and bright colors... and I don't think many people would say I'm not an artist because of that preference.

Some people will share your preference, Himmler, and some people will share mine... but neither one of us is absolutely right.

No one is when it comes to art... and to say there is an absolute way of doing things, and discounting other people's opinions when they disagree comes very close to pretention and elitism.

I must say Himmler, you seem very self-confident simply because you can 'copy' techniques taught to you by a self proclaimed artist. As soon as you apply rules to your works.. they no longer become fun.. where is art without fun? :eeeeeh:

yes it may be different oppinions but yu have to learn to express it in a suitable way...abi's post was an insult.yes, post your oppinion but have respect for me even if you don't like what i'm doing.
why do you think i'm not posting in someone else's gallery?cause there are many differences of style and i must stay in my field where i feel safe and know my things.and if i were to post something i would do it with respect, that was all i need..i don't care if someone posts here to appraise someone else, just have respect for me..i don't think that's too much, i think it's necessary.

i don't copy techniques, i learn them so i can bring something new if i can.A SELF PROCLAIMED ARTIST? :eeeeeh: i don't think you know that in romania there are highschools called "licee" ..these have their own specialities..mine is a highschool of fine arts, that means i eat art, i dream art, i throw up art...it's a daily thing involving many experiments and studies.the teachers are not self-proclaimed artists..they are artists..after studying at colleges(of art) and having many expos in their back.ALL OF THEM are artists...at least where i live.art has rules too...like this forum has..
ex: i could start swearing on all topics cause it's fun to me, where is posting without fun?
i hope you see what i mean...it's not art if it doesn't follow the principles.
