Default Quake.. on a DS!

I've recently bought a flashcart for my NDS, and while looking for homebrew games and ports, stumbled upon this little gem:
quake.drunkencoders.com/index_q1.html

It requires the data files from the original game, in case you don't have the full one it will do perfectly fine with shareware version.
And let me tell you... it plays helluva nice, like if Quake was designed with DS in mind to begin with!

Also, everyone who liked messing around with binds and aliases in the PC version can do it in this one too (not all commands seem to work the way they are supposed to, though).

I've attached my custom config file with a bunch of binds, aliases and scripts. Some of you might find it useful. (make sure to read the readme first, tho!)
Attached Files
File Type: rar Quake DS config.rar (2.3 KB, 4 views)

Quake for the DS, Quake for the PSP, Quake for the cellphone, I've had enough of Polish people obsessed with Quake. It's time to port something else to a handheld.

What do you mean like what? Is this sarcasm? There are literally hundreds of thousands of games in existence.

No. That was actual question.

Perhaps better would be: What would be perfect for a handheld?

Who plays shooters on handhelds unless you want retina damage? It just doesn't work trying to shoot tiny targets will straining your eyes. Especially with darker games like Quake, back lighting doesn't help much, Circle of the Moon was enough for me.

People should be focusing on games that are fun to play on handhelds, like Abuse.

Flashback would actually be very neat.

My problem with modern day handhelds is that developers are trying too hard to ignore the genres that made the GB and GBC so fun, instead putting things on a handheld that just aren't made for it.

It seems pointless for people to follow that same logic online, IE putting Quake on another tiny screen.
