The Elder Scrolls Arena game I had downloaded off the TES site doesn't run on the DOSBox anymore. Every time I try to enter in ARENA.BAT I get this error message that says that this file exists and failed to open in write mode and that file exists and failed to open in write mode. Then it tells me to remove write-protection. Lastly it writes file creation failed.

This is strange as it was running several hours ago. Now every time I try to load it just gives me that error message.

right click the files in your TES directory and uncheck "read only" property

None of my files are read-only.

You don't need rights, just put the files under your documents' or the shared documents' folders.

What's more:
Install dosbox in your documents Ã*nd create a folder to use as virtual C in your documents, your problems are done and over with.
You can do anything with dosbox from there , no admin rights needed, and daddy's PC is safe.
