I'm looking for an old robot game. I can't remember its name but I'll give you as much description as I can. please give me any information you can (screenshots of the game, its name, its company where can I get it etc) :

the game is a platform action game where you choose between 2 robots. one is a light laser sword fighter, the other is a heavy gunner. their colors are red/blue (but I can't remember which is which).
the enemies are other less sophisticated robots, and soldiers (they're like the size of ants , compared to the robots size)

the game has a cinematic at the beginning (more like a slide show) :
A boy driving his car with another passenger (?a girl or a boy?). a helicopter comes (?in front?) and shoots the car . ...(a part I can't exactly remember)... . then, you see a close up to the robot's face (??halved to have room for the game's name and option screen??)

Thanks in advance

I've remembered more details in the game:

the sword user is a really light robot that can jump and slash.

the gunner is a really heavy robot that more hops than jumps, but then he can use jet packs in his backs to soar even higher. though he can't move on his own (I think) , he can use the jet packs to move really fast (there's even a trick where you turn to the other side after accelerating to use the jet packs to blow the opposition)

there's a part in the game where you fly. the sword user completely(or partially) is shown as a transformed plane like machine with shots. the heavy gunner doesn't transform but it gets extra jets (I might be confusing the two bots)

I remember a part where the were wierd statue like enemy bots (?in a forest?) that charge their energy and then shoot a huge (?"kamehameha-like"?) beam.

One of the Mega Man Series (aka Rockman)?

If you have time take a look here, it's a big list of dos games, maybe you'll find your title: Wikipedia

haleluya! I found out what the game was while surfing through the dos game ring:

Name : Iron Blood
Company : Microforum, Family Production
Language : English

I need a confirmation of wheather this game is an abandonware or not. (and wheather can it be added to the site or not )

Also thanks for the wiki link, it can help me find other games.

No (though I can see how the names can confuse).

the name is "Iron Blood" precisly. the box art shows a red robot with a silver gun behind a white background.

There's a demo available in pc-world: link

Ok then, it's this:
Iron Blood (aka Interrupt) (1995) Developed & Published by Family Productions

Family Productions status: defunct
It's abandonware and ok for Abandonia k:
Would you like to review it?
(Because we can't upload it to the main site until we don't have a review and some screenshoots)

Cool, I can provide screenshots and links to the full game (though it can be found easily now that the name is known).
I barely remember the game. Maybe after I play it again I could write one (If no one would make one before me). If I do, do I post it here ?

Links deleted (don't post link to other abandonware site, possible oldwarez games links)...Thanks, David....have a broad information for the game you might want to use for a review (though I guess permission is needed).

You could play the demo and then make a review, we can't insert material from other sites to our.
If you tell me you'll do it, I'll write your name into topic title so it'll be your exclusive

About reviews take a look here: Tips for reviews
About screenshoots here: Screenshots

Sounds very tempting. Yes, I'd like to write a review.
But it would take a while to check the game (each characters has the its level made a bit differently so its like two games) , write the review and check for errors and spelling mistakes (English is not my native language).
Luckily my brother is a good gamer and can help me do it.

I'll also take a look at other reviews to see what you're looking for.

Is this agreeable ?
