When I try to install sim city 2000 for extracting the zip files it has this error, invaild start up directory check pif file?????????? am i doing something wrong? please help me

Yes, you are probably trying to start the game with a .pif which is undoubly unvalid unless you just happened to unzip the game at the very same repertory than when the .pif been created. This is extremely unlikely.

Try to start the game with a .bat or a .exe instead.
