I heard, that our Russian games Space Rangers 1 and 2 are distributed abroad. Does anybody play them or they are distributed only to "close" abroad (Ukraine, Belorussia e.t.c)? To define more precisely of what I am speaking, in SR 2 enemies are dominators (Terrons, Kellers and Blazers), and in both Rangers are four races (except people) - mallocs, gaals, feis and pelengs.

I'm not sure if this counts as abroad (since it was a russian version), but Spare ragers were sold in Latvia. It's a great game BTW, my sincere recomendation to everyone (I haven't plaeyed SR2, but I think that was good too)

You lost much if you didn't play in second part. It is MUCH better than first one. You can check out www.rangers.ru to learn about it.

I will look for it next time I'm buying Comp Games.

BTW the site seems to lack english translation (this isn't a problem for me off course, but russian speaking mebers are very rare)

I know its a little late for me to say now, but I picked up Space Rangers 1-2 and I'm loving them. I'm a big fan of open ended Role Playing games, space based games and most of all, Piracy! Also from looking I can see they are available in English now too (although much more expensive then I paid for them) They are really worth picking up, especially the second one.

Also, the English publishers of Space Rangers series have published another similiar type game "Star Wolves" (Another Russian game) which is also worth checking out. I think they have an english demo on their website too.

Yeah, also, when I checked out the creation of a game, I was shocked to know, that it was created by about dozen of men! Truly, Russian programmers are best! k:

The leading game magazine here in Finland wrote a glorifying article about Space Rangers 2, and subsequently the game leaped into the top-10 list of www.play.com
