The AGI Studio and Picedit, or WinAGI (which has all included). I personally still use AGI Studio and Picedit, but just give both a try and see which one you like most.

WME is the same as AGS except it allows 3D models.

Arrow

-3d models
-shanding, stuff like alpha blending and antialiasing-etc(more than in AGS),
-better resolution
-uses 3d acceleration to run smoother, have also option to switch to compatible mode which dont use 3dsupport
-supports more file formats
-support for external dll package
-pakckaging is made that they allows make patches to your game
-you can change everything, whole "visage" of the game, layouts, everything

..all in all WME is made for much more newer games then AGS, considering options for example games such like Syberia or NI-BI-RU(paid games) could be made there

Here's a question, which programming tool is the best? And why are there so many?
