My vote for Planescape aswell, as I haven't played Fallout 1/2 yet.
Btw, back in my days, games like Diablo etc. were called Isometric Action Adventures, but I guess times change... :bleh: |

i prefer FF 4/5/6 over 7/8/9 due to the fact that the move to 3d kinda ruined it for me.
but fallout beats any FF game hands down (excellent TB combat and far more truly freeform than any console rpg at the time)

Fallout 2.
the pure number of endings, ive completed it 27times, many different endings. its awesome. i Love it when you get criticals with a machine gun type weapon witha burst shot. off comes arm, chest, head. boom boom boom |

Hmm? No Ultima games on the list? Or the Eye of the Beholder series? Not to mention the AD&D classics? Krondor? Exactly how long did you spend choosing the options?
Anyway, my favourite computer RPG would be either Ultima 5, Betrayal at Krondor, or Rogue (although that one would be stretching the genre a little).
