Is this as Russ Meyer-esque as it sounds?
(Anyone who doesn't know who he is, get hold of Faster Pussycat Kill! Kill! on DVD - bloomin' marvellous!) |

Just a question before I download : Can we lose without being told by the game ? (I mean can we miss important items necessary to finish the game and impossible to get later ?)

Since a number of 15 year olds read this site I shall not mention that the manual is available here:
http://infodoc.plover.net/manuals/index.html You will have to supply your own 3D glasses, and scratch'n'sniff card. |

This was one of those Infocom titles where all the goodies that came with the disk actually come into play---can't imagine playing Leather Goddesses again without the Scratch-N-Sniff card that the game refers to at different points. But it's still cool to see it here

There's a link to it somewhere on Baf's but I don't have time to chase it down right now. www.wurb.com/if |

Well, I've just given it a try, and so far I like it! Room and object descriptions are a little sparser than what I'd expect from a modern work of IF, but the writing is still good and the jokes range from subtle to laugh-out-loud hilarious.
As long as the author didn't commit the #1 sin of text adventures by including a maze. (Or the #2 sin of locking you out of victory without telling you until 700 turns later...) Really that's why I've given 95% of "classic" IF a miss, mazes just make me go :ranting:. |

Sorry to triple post, but I thought I should give a friendly warning about the fact that the game doesn't recognize UNDO. Found that out the hard way.

This was a classic. I still remember playing this as a teen on my C-64. I vaguely remember beating it, but I think playing it again will be a lot of fun. ^.^

I've heard about this game before, so as soon as i saw it up here, it was a must get. I have to say the puzzles remind me of Hitchhikers. I need to make a good map though b/c so far, i've gone from place to place aimlessly. It appears like its gonna be a challenging game!
FYI to whoever couldnt get the program to work, you need WinFrotz. You can get it at abandonia through the programs link on the left hand column. |
